Goodbye, GARamid. Welcome to The Pit

 So, things are changing. Early last year, a (mainly) Power Rangers RPG I had been apart of for nearly 25 years came to an end. I had a falling out with one of the other players, who happened to be the admin of the RPG forum. In spite, he took the whole forum down. I tried to restart it, but, no one joined. I tried starting a different Power Rangers RPG. One person joined, but didnt contribute. But, in between, I also started a GI Joe RPG. And that one has taken off quite nicely. Four other players, well over 200 pages of content. 

Given that I was no longer doing Power Rangers role play, and the franchise itself, other than in comic book form, is on hiatus, it was time to move on. So, I started changing my online persona. Renaming where I can. President Gold Any Ranger (PrezGAR) is no more. Now, there is only Colonel Chrome.

And he's not even my main character in this GI Joe RPG.  No, he's that character's father, who only appears on occasion. For now.

So, the GARamid is no more. The lackeys are now Greenshirts. (GI Joe support troops. The generic solders on the cartoon.) My Crushes are given on base housing. But Im considering reducing the number of them. It's just so hard to pick and choose. Since there's always seem to be new ones. (One of whom can be seen in Glitter;s current Caption This gallery on X/Twitter.)

No New Crushes for 2024

 Due to the strikes, I am postponing this year's Class of Crushes until 2025. Much like I did with the pandememic. If I had a list, it ould be three of four entries, not enough for all the work, And there wont by any new Ranger Crushes in the upcoming year. Power Rangers is, for now, on indefinite hiatus. There's rumors of a reboot, but nothing definite. 

But, if anyone's ibterested in G.I. Jope, I've been doing an RPG for six months today. The Joes fighting an enemy that isnt Cobra, but worse. Myself and four other players, over 100 pages of story so far.

My New Year's Honors for 2023

 OK, it's not 2023 here in the states, but in most of the rest of the world, it is. So, I'm going ahead and posting my annual list.

First things first. There will be no new Ranger Crushes this upcoming year. That's because, for the first time since 1995, the same cast is coming back for a third season.

In non-Crush news, in May I'll be taking my third Disney Cruise, this time, on the newest ship in the fleet, the Disney Wish. It's to celebrate a landmark birthday. I wont say which landmark, or when exactly, but, it is actually after the cruise. We'll also be spending two days in Tennessee (in Dolly Parton's neck of the woods) and two days in Orlando before hand. (No theme park visits. The closest we'll get is Disney Springs.)

A Bittersweet Post

 I dont usually post at this time of year, but, today, something has happened that I must address,

Anyone who knows me from the CPB knows of my fondness for Power Rangers, and especially female Rangers. And I had a list of enemies, who were characters in romantic, or presumed romantic relationships with my Ranger Crushes. And at the top of that list was Tommy. The original Green Ranger, later White Ranger, later Red Ranger and finally Black Ranger. Part of the first romantic kiss on Power Rangers. With Ranger Crush #1, Amy Jo. After she left the show, he eventually started a relationship with Ranger Crush #2. It's canon as of 2018 that they got married and had a son.

Because of this kiss, he became GARamid Enemy #1. I established a hefty bounty on him, in Capper Currency.

And now, that bounty will never be redeemed. 

GARamid Enemy #1 is dead. At his own hand.

'Power Rangers' Star Jason David Frank Dead By Suicide at 49 (tmz.com)

At one time, this would have been cause to celebrate.  But under these circumstances, I cannot. His return to the show in 2003 eased my ill will, since he had no interest in my Crush that year. (He was a teacher, and she was one of his students. And she wasnt even a Ranger. She was my first civilian Ranger Crush.) He's returned to the show twice since then, in guest roles. The last time is when it became canon that Tommy had gotten married and had a son. The son was heard, but not seen, and he had a slight Australian accent, just like Ranger Crush #2.

So, I will not celebrate his passing, but I will not mourn him either. And his spot on the Enemies Lst has already been filled, by one of the current Rangers. While there has been no one the lips kisses on Power Rangers since 1995, he and one of my current Ranger Crushes did come close.
